From 1 to 4 October at La Factoría de Papel, Elena Jiménez and Paula Noya will participate in Open Studio Madrid 15. These Madrid artists together with the Factoría de Papel workshop have been selected to participate in the 4th edition year of Open Studio.
At La Factoría de Papel for Open Studio we will open to the general public, to professionals and collectors to present the works of Elena and Paula and the workshop where their works are produced. From Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 October from 11 am. to 3 pm. and from 4 pm. to 8 pm. At least one of the two artists will be present at these times to chat to attendees.
On Saturday, 3 October at 2:15 pm, everyone who is interested will be able to enjoy “Graphic Techniques in Contemporary Art” an activity scheduled during Open Studio by La Factoría de Papel, in which the artists will show through a practical demonstration the graphic processes chosen for the creation of their images. They will explain the reasons why and how the techniques are selected and the results obtained, whilst making a tour of the workspace.
Open Studio is a platform created to promote the arts and to showcase the work of contemporary artists through visits to studios and work spaces. This enables direct contact between the artist and the public, to encourage the creation of networks in the cultural sector, both Spanish and international. It is the private initiative of the “Asociaciόn Open Mind Arte y Cutura” a not-for-profit association that favours the development of the creative fabric, which adds to cultural and artistic endeavour and contributes to the tourist and economic development of the whole sector.

shall present their projects in the exhibition space of La Factoría de Papel, where they have created the works that have been part of their latest individual exhibitions.
La Factoría de Papel is an organisation promoted by the Taller Manolo Gordillo together with a group of artists, publishers and collectors to promote and diffuse the arts and to open up new ways for the production and sale of graphic works. It is a workspace that contains all the necessary means for artists who work with graphic and digital resources and processes. It also has an exhibition space with a full calendar of exhibitions.
To date three Open Studio Madrid: programs have been held. The first was in 2012. In the three previous events, 99 studios involving 253 artists of different ages and nationalities have taken part and more than 20,000 people have visited the studios.
