Black Apology. Verónica Domingo Alonso
Opening May 18 8.00 p.m.
It has taken me forty years to discover that black is the king of all colours.
Pierre Auguste Renoir
“Apología del negro” hosts a sample of works made in Indian ink on paper.
The undisputed protagonist of this exhibition is colour in its purest state, black. It is the colour par excellence, powerful and sweet at the same time, expressive like no other, elegant and charismatic.
Given its versatility it never disappoints, it allows to become what everyone wants it to be on every occasion: classic or avant-garde, mysterious and sensual, powerful and anarchic…
With its tones, its nuances, its saturation and its play of light and shadows, brings sophistication and mystery to the works so that the role of the spectator in front of them is none other than to let oneself be seduced and moved.
Pieces from 25 x 25 cm to 100 x 70 cm.
